What are you trying to achieve by changing prime mover.?

How many aspects of your field work do you wish to use the tractor for?

Once you know this, you can calculate approximately  how many hours  per season you will put on the tractor?

This should give you a "ball park"  budget.

You now have to find a machine in your budget which has an  ideal power to wt ratio achievable for ALL of your operations, in many cases this means having a lighter built tractor which is ballast able for heavy draft work, but it must be a good reliable design to achieve this. NOT ALL ARE!
